Coolio, Sister Hazel duo to headline AS IF! The 90’s Fest

Ancient City Entertainment has announced two new headliners for the inaugural AS IF! The 90’s Fest, which will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine.

With tunes like “Gangsta’s Paradise,” “Fantastic Voyage,” “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New),” and “C U When U Get There,” Coolio is a rapper and 1990s icon. He’ll be joined by fellow headliners Ken and Drew of Sister Hazel, a Gainesville-formed pop-rock band with singles like “All for You,” “Change Your Mind,” and “Happy.”

“Our original headliner, Eve 6, couldn’t make it over to Florida from California because of the pandemic, so we secured Coolio and Ken and Drew of Sister Hazel to co-headline,” said Jeanetta Salyer, owner of Ancient City Entertainment and the organizer of the festival. “We’re pretty excited about these new acts and look forward to bringing a full-day concert line up with some of the raddest music from the 1990s while also raising money for ACE Alliance, a nonprofit set up to help local members of the tourism, entertainment, and hospitality industries that have been affected by the pandemic.”

The event will also feature the reunion show of Spider Monkey, a Florida-based rock band comprised of Todd Horn (vocals), Tony Gialluca (bass), Garrett Coleman (guitar) and Randy Rockalotta (drums). Additional bands playing the festival will include Salt & Pine, Kapowski, Nerd Kill Overdrive, Bad Dog Mama, Ramona + the RIOT and Chillula.

AS IF! The 90’s Fest is sponsored by Bud Light, iHeartRadio, and T Mobile in partnership with Ancient City Entertainment, 904 Happy Hour and ACE Alliance. This action-packed, family-oriented, one-day event will feature live music, games, slime zone, photo booth, a 27-foot water slide, food trucks and more.

General admission tickets are $15. Children under 5 are free and children ages 5-13 are $5. VIP tickets are available for $30 and include a lounge area and VIP bar access. Ticket prices increase at the door. Go to www.asifthe90sfest.com to buy tickets.
