CoRK Arts District plans Open Studios Weekend

CoRK Arts District is hosting its 12th annual Fall 2023 Open Studios Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 18, and Sunday, Nov. 19, from noon to 6 p.m. All artist studios and personal work spaces will be open to the public and visitors are welcome to enjoy a self-guided tour of those studios.

The tour will run between seven buildings with more than 70 artists participating. Visitors will have the chance to walk and explore the district facilities, interact with the artists, watch them create during demonstrations, purchase original artwork and get a behind-the-scenes look at the CoRK artists and their practice.

Disciplines include painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, woodworking, performance art and more. Many of the businesses located near CoRK will also be open during Open Studio hours, including Yellow House, JaxMakes and Cool Stuff Vintage. There will be food trucks on site, Bold City Brewery and King Maker Brewing will be open with libations and food as well.

CoRK Arts District is more than 80,000 square feet of warehouse space converted to artist studios and galleries. It is not open to the public on a daily basis; access can be gained during publicly advertised events or by appointment. CoRK is located on the corner of Rosselle and King streets in North Riverside, Jacksonville.
