Nease High’s boys soccer team traveled to take on fellow St. Johns County opponent Beachside High and earned the Panthers (6-4-3) their third tie on the season with a 1-1 final score.
It was the second tie for the Barracudas (10-3-2) who have impressed this season with double digit wins to their credit.
The Barracudas held a 1-0 halftime lead after junior striker Davi Noronha opened the scoring in the first half as he snuck through for a one-on-one with the Nease goaltender Pablo Diaz and made the most of the opportunity by burying his shot.
However, the Panthers made a late surge and started to control more possession at the end of the first half and they carried some momentum into the second half and senior Colin Negron was on the receiving end of a pass from Thomas Pollack that tied the game.
