Darius Rucker will headline the Constellation Furyk & Friends concert, with opening act Scotty McCreery on Oct. 5. The concert, presented by SRS Distribution, is a salute to America’s service men and women.

Constellation Furyk & Friends is a PGA TOUR Champions event to be held Oct. 8-10 at Timuquana Country Club.

Fans who purchase any tournament ticket starting at $25 may purchase a concert ticket for $50. The concert will be held at 1 Daily's Place, Jacksonville. Tickets are available now at www.ConstellationFurykandFriends.com.

“Outside of the amazing golf that will take place at the Constellation Furyk & Friends presented by Circle K, we are planning to have a great time celebrating our community here in the greater Jacksonville area, and this concert will be a big part of that celebration,” said Tabitha Furyk, president of the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation. “Darius Rucker has been a friend and supporter of Furyk & Friends for many years and having him be here to kick off our tournament week is a perfect fit. The one thing Darius might love as much as music is golf, so we are excited to see him bring his enthusiasm and energy to our event.”

Rucker first achieved multi-platinum status in the music industry as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the Grammy Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, which has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.

Since releasing his first country album in 2008, Rucker has earned a new legion of fans with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, including RIAA platinum-certified “Learn to Live” and “True Believers,” plus nine No. 1 singles on country radio.

In 2014, Rucker won his third career Grammy Award for best solo country performance with his eight-time platinum version of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel.”

Delivering more than 130 online performances for fans, country radio, charitable events and media outlets, opener Scotty McCreery had one thought in the back of his mind this last year: readying new music for fans when he could again return to the road. That time is upon him with the launch of his “You Time” tour this month.

The North Carolina native released “You Time” in September as the first single from his upcoming new album, which he plans to put out in the fall.

Jim Furyk and his wife Tabitha launched their foundation in 2010 to bring awareness and funding to charities throughout the region.

In September 2020, Furyk joined Arnold Palmer and Bruce Fleisher as the only players to win their first two starts on PGA Tour Champions.

In addition to his 17 career PGA TOUR titles, Furyk represented the United States on seven Presidents Cup teams and nine Ryder Cup teams, highlighted by his 2018 captaincy in Paris. The former University of Arizona golfer, who notched a major championship title at the 2003 U.S. Open, became the first player in TOUR history to post 58. He accomplished that in the final round of the 2016 Travelers Championship. To date, he is the only player in history with two sub-60 rounds in TOUR-sanctioned events (59, 2013 BMW Championship).
