September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Ponte Vedra Brach Library wants to encourage everyone in the community to get a St. Johns County Public Library System library card.
Toward that end, it is planning a “Downton Abbey” soiree, sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
“A Date with Downton” will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the FOL Community Room.
Attendees will watch the movie “Downton Abbey: A New Era” and enjoy light refreshments. They may want to dress up for a photo op, as well.
A copy of the behind-the-scenes book, “Downton Abbey: A New Era: The Official Film Companion,” will be raffled off. One raffle ticket can be earned by simply attending the event. A second is earned by those showing their SJCPLS library card.
