EnterCircle Entrepreneurship Week took place Nov. 19-21 at the link in Nocatee.
Thursday, Nov. 20, was Startups/Small Business Day. Several owners of small businesses were featured, including T.R. Richardson, CEO of Richwood International. Richwood International is a leadership and communication skills agency offering virtual, digital and in-person training, coaching and consulting for emerging entrepreneurs.
Richardson spoke about how he got motivated to start his business and how to stay motivated.
“Always remember your ‘why,’” Richardson said.
Joell Arnold, founder and CEO of Zenhergy Group, also spoke at the event. Zenhergy Group is a coaching and consulting firm that helps women and forward-thinking organizations through immersive coaching, consulting and community. Arnold gave several mindset tips in her presentation, which included upgrading your identity. She said it is important to take a look at where/who you are now and what you need to let go of.
“Purpose will carry you even when confidence fails,” Arnold said.
Arnold also said that it is important to make yourself the priority.
“Your brand will never be louder than your belief in yourself, and it begins with you,” she said.
There were also seven different presenters pitching their businesses at the event.
One of these presenters was Dillon Abend, founder and CEO of 3rd-i Technology. 3rd-i is a ridesharing app geared toward college students and young people that allows users to live-stream to trusted contacts, track friends on a map and get quick dispatcher help in emergencies. Abend said that 3rd-i is a safety platform that students actually want to use.
Dr. Tim Conway, founder and CEO of NOW! Programs, also gave a presentation on his business. Conway has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology. NOW! Programs are research-based online tutoring programs that prevent or improve learning difficulties and enrich language skills in children, teens, college students and adults. NOW! Programs have certified tutors that focus on strengthening specific skills that are considered the root cause of learning disabilities, including dyslexia. NOW! Programs offer affordable subscription services that are designed to meet their clients where they are.
“Every course that your child is going to take in school requires literacy skills,” said Conway.
