The field for the 20th St. Augustine Amateur has been finalized, with a talented group set to tackle the St. Johns Golf Club in southern St. Johns County from Friday, Dec. 5, through Sunday, Dec. 7.

Some highlights of the field for the 20th playing of the competition:
- There are 47 World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) players (current and recently ranked) in the field, a tournament record.
- Players from 20 states have entered.
- Players from 10 countries are in the field (Puerto Rico included as an American territory).
- College players represent 47 schools, with ACC, SEC and Big 12 universities; schools as far away as the Midwest and Southwest in the U.S. and internationally; and locally from Flagler, Jacksonville University and North Florida.
- The field is made up of 40 college players, 36 high school players and eight mid-amateurs or college alumni.
- The field’s age range is from 14 (Puerto Rico’s Jose Carlos Lopez-Lay) to 38 (UNF assistant coach Tyler Gulliksen).
- There are 53 teenagers scheduled to start, from high school to college players.
- The entire five-man starting lineup of Florida powerhouse high school program Ponte Vedra High School.
- Representatives of the nation’s No. 1-ranked NCAA Division III school Huntingdon College (All-Americans Stephen Baker and Jack Burr) and No. 1-ranked NAIA school Keiser (Basil Strolz).
- The 2025 St. Johns County High School champion (Creekside’s Charlie Hipp, a South Florida commitment) and Florida state Class 3A individual runner-up (Fletcher’s Jackson Runquist, a Boston College commitment); the spring 2025 Georgia 6A high school player of the year (Richmond Hill’s Ledger Conley, a Jacksonville University commitment) and spring 2025 New Jersey boys player of the year (Rory Asselta).
- One former champion, 2023 winner Brody Stevenson, who is a junior on the Florida Gulf Coast University golf team.
- The twin sons of four-time PGA Tour winner Tim Herron, Minnesota college golfers Mick (Rollins College) and PJ Herron (Flagler College).
- One former professional who recently regained his amateur status (John Driscoll III).
- USGA Four-ball experience: Robbie Keyes (2025); Philip Minnehan-Aiden Spampinato (2026 teammates); and Darren Zhou (2026).
Net proceeds, generated through sponsorships, will continue to directly benefit First Tee–North Florida, a local youth development organization. In collaboration with this year’s dedicated sponsors, still to be finalized, the 2025 St. Augustine Amateur is expected to generate another $25,000 plus, increasing the total support to First Tee-North Florida to approximately $500,000 since 2004.
