Nearly all YMCAs across Florida’s First Coast will participate in this year’s annual Healthy Kids Day celebration, a national initiative to improve the health and wellbeing of children across the country.
Activities vary by location but will generally include kids and family fitness, free swim testing, camp corner, youth sports, bounce houses, STEM, face painting and more.
Free and open to the public, the event will also serve as the kickoff of the Safety Around Water initiative. This program can help ensure children learn essential water safety skills. Kids aged 6 to 12 are eligible for free swim testing at any Y location with a pool throughout the summer.
Healthy Kids Day will take place at the following First Coast YMCA branches on the following dates:
April 26
• Flagler Center YMCA
April 27
• Ponte Vedra YMCA
• Barco-Newton Family YMCA
• Brooks Family YMCA
• Dye Clay Family YMCA

Both Healthy Kids Day and Safety Around Water are designed to inspire kids to keep their minds and bodies active while providing them with activities and resources to achieve their full potential all year long. Visit https://fcymca.org/ for more information about the First Coast YMCA.
