Florida Water Tours is hosting an array of experiences for the Nights of Lights festival, where downtown St. Augustine will be adorned with more than 3-million twinkling white lights from Nov. 15 to Jan. 11. It is rated one of the Top 10 Holiday Light Displays in the World by National Geographic and one of the Best Cities to Visit at Christmas by Condé Nast Traveler.
To make the most of the holidays, Florida Water Tours invites the public to experience the magic like never before — from the water! With complimentary 3D glasses, a cozy cup of cocoa and holiday music to get you in the spirit, see the lights from the sea to experience the most wonderful time of the year in the Nation’s Oldest City.
“We are open for all the holidays this year,” said Jessica Jadick, founder of Florida Water Tours, an ecotourism, scenic boat touring company based in St. Augustine. “For the first time ever, we have tours available on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. As a family-run business, we invite you to spend time on the water with us to soak in the holiday spirit.”
Florida Water Tours offers three cruises to choose from for Nights of Lights.
Choose from a Sunset Cruise, Family-Friendly or Adults Only (21+) Nights of Lights tour, with some cruises being BYOB and others with a bar on board. Take advantage of the plentiful free parking away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Preorder one of their Graze Boxes when you secure your tickets, or call or email up to 12 hours before your cruise to order from an assortment of specially curated snack boxes.
For the ultimate holiday tour, book the Nights of Lights New Year’s Eve Cruise, with a complimentary champagne toast for those age 21 and older. See fireworks from the water from the “Beach Blast Off” on Anastasia Island at 8:30 p.m., and then cruise downtown to view the city aglow.
Jadick and her crew also extend an invitation to their Cruise for a Cause on Tuesday, Dec. 2, with three cruise options to choose from. Cruise for a Cause benefits Florida Water Warriors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to provide equitable marine science education to underserved youth in the Northeast Florida coastal community.
“One hundred percent of all ticket proceeds go directly to our nonprofit,” said Jadick. “We couldn’t do this special work without your support.”
No matter which cruise you choose, prepare to be dazzled from the water, with an unrivaled view of the city as it becomes a shimmering winter wonderland.
Florida Water Tours is located at Windward at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor at 107 Yacht Club Drive. The vessels are just a short walk away, at docks A-23, A-24 and A-25.
