Free workshop helps people who have lost a pet

Posted

Losing a pet can be as difficult as losing a family member. Sometimes the loss becomes more difficult when other people may not understand such a grief or are not sympathetic.

For grievers and their families, Community Hospice & Palliative Care will offer a free Pet Loss Workshop from 10-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Fernandina Beach. The workshop will teach attendees about grief, especially as it relates to the loss of a pet, and to develop ways to minimize grief reactions and to meet others with similar experiences. The goal is for attendees to leave with a renewed sense of hope during the upcoming holiday season.

The Pet Loss Workshop is free and open to the public, but attendees should RSVP at https://petlossworkshop.eventbrite.com. For more information, or 904-407-6464.
