The glamour of the Gilded Age returned to the Nation’s Oldest City on Thursday, Oct. 23, as the St. Augustine Humane Society held its 16th annual Pin-Up Paws Gala. Held at The White Room in downtown St. Augustine, this year’s theme, “The Gilded Paw,” promised an evening of elegance, community spirit and fundraising to benefit pets in need.
Guests enjoyed a lively night of entertainment highlighted by dinner, complimentary wine, a cash bar and live music performed by The House Cats Jazz Quartet. The festivities also included a wine pull, photo booth, silent auction and the official unveiling of the 2026 Pin-Up Paws calendar, copies of which attendees received as a keepsake.
Winning pets depicted in the calendar received a professional photo session with Addison Fitzgerald. Graphics for the calendar were created by Maribel Angel.
The calendar is the centerpiece of the Humane Society’s annual campaign. This year’s contest raised $43,000. All proceeds from the gala and auction directly benefit the Humane Society’s programs, including affordable spay and neuter surgeries, preventive veterinary care and outreach services.
The Humane Society’s annual Pin-Up Paws silent auction features more than 100 items. Bidding will end Saturday, Nov. 1, so time is short. To bid, go to PUPauction.org.
