Hope at Hand will host an Expressive Arts Therapy Group session Wednesday, July 27.

To be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the session – the last of three to be hosted this month – will be facilitated by Connie Worthy, M.S., a registered mental health counseling intern and group facilitator. People of all ages are welcome to the Hope at Hand office at 3886 Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville, where guests will participate in therapeutic art sessions that will provide them with a product combining art and poetry. The event is part of a series of sessions conducted to encourage positivity through creative experiences.

As part of programming at Hope at Hand made possible by a grant from the Florida Division of Monthly Affairs, ongoing events will be announced as future events are scheduled for later months at the Hope at Hand’s Atlantic Boulevard location.

Founded in 2009 by Steffani Hendricks, Hope at Hand is a nonprofit that provides poetry therapy and art sessions to at-risk youth. The foundation combines poetry therapy, wellness, educational best practices and art to help children and adolescents while encouraging the growth of confidence, independence, social connection and communication.
