The Jacksonville Home + Patio Show was the place to be Oct. 3-5 to shop for home-related products and services, see inspiring displays, speak with industry experts and attend presentations by renowned local and international home professionals.
In all, there were more than 300 booths to visit during the show at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, 1000 Water St., Jacksonville.
The event was fun for all ages. In addition to DIY ideas and home product presentations, there were playsets for kids, workshops, TV personalities and more.
Here’s a look at some featured celebrities:
· Twin sisters Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb who star in their own HGTV show, “Unsellable Houses.” These real estate mavens, design visionaries and business owners are famous for transforming tough-to-sell homes into marketable properties. Having built a successful, full-service real estate and home design company, the sisters quickly became well known for their talent and exuberant personalities. Before long, they were sharing their knowledge in the TV show.
- Artist, writer and author of “Big Thrift Energy” Virginia Chamlee. Her best-selling book has been described as part resource, part inspiration and is a valuable guide to thrifting.
- Mike Buresh, chief meteorologist with Action News Jax.
- Kavanagh Porter Academy Dancers, a Jacksonville troupe demonstrating their Irish dance skills.
- Chef Alexis Bianca, a private chef, certified executive chef and dietary manager who specializes in Oriental cuisine with a Caribbean flair.
- Chef Dennis Chan of Blue Bamboo, which he launched in 2005. Growing up in a food-centric environment, he was later trained at the Culinary Institute of America. He has traveled internationally, worked at Walt Disney World Resort, managed various restaurants and had an internship at Chef Ming Tsai’s Blue Ginger in Boston.
- Jeffrey Brudos, general manager at Condaxis Coffee and Tea, where he oversees the team of specialty coffee professionals. Jacksonville-based Condaxis roasts fresh coffee daily and supplies popular restaurants throughout the area. House blends, proprietary blends and cold brew are among the offerings. The company provides light, medium, bold and dark-roasted, as well as flavored coffees. In addition, Condaxis offers black tea, Southern-style tea and a variety of organic tea choices.
