The untimed fun run is open to runners and walkers of all levels. Those who are unable to attend but still wish to be a part of the cause can participate in the event’s Virtual 5K/Walk between registration and May 21, which earns a t-shirt and medal.

Family-friendly post-race activities will also be offered, including a rock climbing wall, face painting, a Home Depot kids’ building project and a meet and greet with police K9s. Approximately 20 K9 teams are expected and many will hold demonstrations. In addition, police vehicles including a St. Johns County Police helicopter and a Duval County Swat Bear Cat armored vehicle will be on site for tours.

Veterans United will serve adult beverages and Pieology will provide pizza. K9s United will unveil a tribute poster to commemorate those who have lost their lives in the line of duty since the organization was founded.
