Best-selling author Steve Berry returns to the Ponte Vedra Branch Library’s Book Talk Café program on Monday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. to talk about his latest thriller, “The 14th Colony.”
Because of water damage to the library’s FOL Community Room, the program will be held at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach, located at 50 Executive Way in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The latest offering in Berry’s Cotton Malone series, “The 14th Colony” mixes little-known historical facts with speculative fiction, asking the question, “What happens if both the president and vice president die before taking the oath of office?”
Berry will also share details of his next Cotton Malone thriller, “The Lost Order,” due out in April 2017, and sign copies of his books at the conclusion of his presentation.
History lies at the heart of Berry’s novels, which consistently appear on major bestselling lists. His books have been translated into 40 languages, with more than 21 million copies in print. So passionate, in fact, is Berry about history that he and his wife, Elizabeth, created History Matters, a foundation dedicated to historic preservation.
The Book Talk Café series is presented by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Branch Library, and is free and open to the public.
