David Paul Danzeisen, former board president of the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce and founder of Clean Getaway Car Wash, passed away Tuesday, May 11, at the too-young age of 78 years old, according to his family.
Danzeisen moved 35 years ago to Ponte Vedra Beach following his ownership of Vanguard Tours, an interstate transportation company, and later ownership of a 1,500-acre grain-and-cattle operation in New York.

He was an enthusiastic member of the beach community and called countless residents and business associates his friends.

He is survived by his former wife of 30 years, Kathryn Danzeisen, his children David Paul Danzeisen Jr., Summer (Mark) Danzeisen of Ponte Vedra Beach, Dianne Batistoni of Morris Plains, New Jersey, and Dawn (Gary) Marchant of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was also blessed with four wonderful grandchildren, Andrew (Dulcey) Batistoni, Austin Batistoni, Julianna Marchant and Daniel Marchant.

There is so much more to say about him, which will appear in a later obituary, his family said.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, at Christ Episcopal Church on San Juan Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach, followed by a courtyard reception.
