The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research has announced that Kristin Hurst, Certified Insurance Service Representative, is the 2019 Outstanding CSR of the Year recipient for the state of Florida.
To qualify for this top state honor, Hurst submitted the winning essay on the topic, "Many agencies recognize the professionalism and knowledge of Account Managers and CSRs who successfully weave sales into their day-to-day responsibilities. Please summarize the sales training (if any) you've received from your agency or company and discuss what you believe are the three (3) most effective sales techniques or tools that make you a better Account Manager/CSR."
Additionally, Hurst was selected for having demonstrated outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community.
Hurst began her insurance career in North Carolina in June of 2001. She relocated to Florida in 2006 where she decided to finish college. She completed her bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University with a double major in psychology and sociology. In 2011, she went to work at a local insurance agency in Fleming Island, Florida. She has been working in the St. Augustine, Florida area since 2014, and then joined The Browning Agency (Ponte Vedra and Hastings) in February 2018. In 2018, Hurst completed her coursework earning the CISR designation. She is a valued agent at The Browning Agency, and is currently working on finishing her CIC designation.

Hurst receives a framed certificate, embossed with the special Outstanding CSR of the Year bronze medallion symbol, and is now one of 38 individuals eligible for the national honor. The National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award includes a $2,000 cash prize and a scholarship for the recipient's employer to any program offered by The National Alliance. The national winner also receives a distinctive gold and diamond lapel pin cast with the Outstanding CSR of the Year emblem. Additionally, the winner's name will be inscribed on a sculpture permanently displayed at the national headquarters in Austin. Texas.
