On June 3, Mike Buresh will be the guest speaker at the Coastal Friends luncheon at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Buresh, local meteorologist and anchor on WJAX and WFOX, is a self-professed ‘‘weather-holic” and will be speaking about climate change, a very pertinent topic given all the wildfires in our area.
The luncheon will take place at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu will consist of spinach and goat cheese salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, blackened salmon with lemon beurre blanc sauce, wild rice pilaf, zucchini and squash medley, and cheesecake. The cost to attend is $25 and the lunch is open to Coastal Friends members, guests and the community.
Reservations must be made in advance by contacting the luncheon chairman at bartshar@comcast.net. Due to the Memorial Day holiday, checks must be received by Wednesday morning, May 27, at the latest to reserve your seat.
