In a time where carbon footprints and big corporations are on the rise, More Than Ink Printing prioritizes going green and supporting local businesses.
John Christiansen, president of More Than Ink, and his team started as a smaller shop, primarily printing brochures and short books for small companies in Clay County. As More Than Ink grew into a full-service printing and marketing partner, they continued to support mom-and-pop companies while expanding their reach across Jacksonville printing for larger companies, churches, colleges, the naval base, hospitals and advertising agencies. More Than Ink offers commercial and digital printing, books and booklets, direct mail, graphic design, signs and displays, specialty finishes and marketing materials.
In 2020, the company started construction on their new building during when the lockdown hit. As an essential business, More Than Ink was able to stay open and help support other local businesses by reminding others of the importance of shopping local. They supported the movement, Love Local, Buy Local and Give Local, recognizing the value of investing in the community and independent businesses.
In 2023, they moved to their new 10,000-square-foot building across from NAS on U.S. 17.
During this time, Christiansen became more conscious of carbon footprints and rebuilt the company to be green.
“More Than Ink Printing’s carbon footprint is small,” Christiansen said. “We source paper that is manufactured from trees grown on U.S./regional tree farms.”
They reuse boxes, donate extra paper to schools and recycle Christmas paper. They use leftover cardboard and paper scraps. At the end of the week, they have minimal amount of waste.
In addition to being eco-conscious, More Than Ink Printing is dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. Their staff of experienced designers makes their customers’ vision a reality. They carefully check the quality during the whole process and work behind the scenes to make each step seamless.
More Than Ink Printing is passionate about building a strong, local business community.
