Next Pin Up Paws calendar has Broadway theme

Places! The St. Augustine Humane Society is raising the curtain for the launch of the 2027 Pin Up Paws calendar contest: “Center Stage.” This year’s theme will shine the spotlight on your favorite four-legged friends as they strut their stuff for the Broadway-inspired shoot.

“The Pin Up Paws calendar is a cornerstone of our largest annual fundraiser,” said Carolyn Smith, executive director of the St. Augustine Humane Society. “Each year, this campaign brings our community together to celebrate the pets who brighten our lives while raising critical funds for the programs that keep them healthy, safe and with the families who love them. This is more than a fun photoshoot. Every vote cast helps provide affordable veterinary care, food and resources to families who might otherwise have to surrender beloved pets.”

The fundraiser will culminate with the Pin Up Paws Auction and Gala on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Casa Monica Resort & Spa.

Dogs, cats and pets of all kinds are welcome to enter by submitting a photo and short biography at https://www.gogophotocontest.com/pupcalendar27. Voting is open to the public. Each $1 donation equals one vote, with all funds supporting the programs of the St. Augustine Humane Society.

“Center Stage Pin Up Paws is where creativity and compassion come together,” said Developmental Director Krista Brown. “Every vote, every entry and every moment of excitement helps us provide critical veterinary care and support to pets and families who need it most.”

The top vote-getters will receive a professional photo shoot with renowned photographer Addison Fitzgerald, followed by fine artist and graphic designer Maribel Angel bringing each pet’s performance to life with a theatrical, show-stopping design. The deadline for submissions is 8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, and voting concludes at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

The Humane Society’s resource center includes a wellness and preventative care clinic, a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, a grooming facility and a pet food pantry. These and other services enable local pets to live happily and healthfully in their homes for life.

Business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pet owners must pre-register for spay and neuter surgery and for clinic visits. The Humane Society is located at 1665 Old Moultrie Road in St. Augustine.

St. Augustine Humane Society promotes healthy, responsible lifelong pet ownership by serving the medical and rehabilitative needs of companion animals in the community. The programs are designed to strengthen human-pet relationships and reduce the need for pets to enter shelters, with a goal to ensure that all pets have access to quality veterinary care, prevent overpopulation and prevent animal suffering.
