FirstLight Home Care, an award-winning provider of nonmedical home care services, recently opened offices located at 10151 Deerwood Park Blvd., in Jacksonville. Local entrepreneurs Eric Friedrich and Brandi Stone own FirstLight Home Care of The Beaches, which provides a variety of companion and personal caregiving services to residents in St. Johns and Duval counties.
FirstLight Home Care of The Beaches delivers nonmedical home care to people who need companionship and help at home, including adults with disabilities, those recovering from illness, injury or surgery and those over the age of 18 who need extra assistance. Trained caregivers help with general needs including errands, transportation, household tasks or individual needs like bathing and hygiene.
Friedrich is a military veteran, having served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force. After leaving active duty in 2014, Friedrich opened a FirstLight Home Care office in Southeast Georgia. Since that time, he has partnered with Stone to expand home care services to the Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville area. Previously, Stone worked for Eric in Brunswick, Georgia as the marketing director.
“It is a privilege to be able to serve our communities by helping people maintain their independence in the place they call home,” Stone said. “We want to be that extra helping hand for seniors, people recuperating from surgery and those with dementia, as well as the family caregivers out there who may be feeling overwhelmed.”
Eric added, “Our goal is to offer practical home care solutions that support families and empower seniors to continue to live independently. As a military veteran myself, I am also committed to providing the best care for the veterans in our communities.”
