Children bedecked in their holiday finery had an opportunity to receive a sneak preview of the 21st annual Christ Church Nutcracker Ballet Nov. 20, when the popular annual Nutcracker Tea was held at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.
The inn was decorated like a winter wonderland as children and their families enjoyed sweets and refreshments and colorfully clad dancers mingled with attendees before performing a preview of the ballet that has become a holiday tradition. The Christ Church Dance Ministry is directed by Felicia Rhoden.
Tickets are still available for the Nutcracker ballet, which will be performed Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at the University of North Florida’s Lazzara Theater. Proceeds from the ballet will benefit a number of charities, including Community PedsCare, Dreams Come True and the Amistad Orphanage in Bolivia.
Tickets are $22 and may be purchased online at www.missfeliciasdance.com.
