Olive oil has been prized for generations for its mental and physical health benefits. More and more people are beginning to prioritize cooking with olive oil over seed oils and are improving their wellness. However, not all olive oil is created equal. Olive Jax Beach, a new coastal pantry, holds their olive oil to the highest standards.
When Justin Phillips retired in May from 23 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a helicopter rescue swimmer master chief, he wanted to open a business that was held to higher standards and gave him the opportunity to be creative. His friend suggested opening an olive oil shop, and Phillips and his family agreed that this was a great opportunity. Both Phillips and his family are passionate about health and wanted to create a fun and educational space where customers can learn about the many health benefits of olive oil and vinegar.
Olive Jax Beach is sourcing their olive oil from Veronica Foods, a company that has truly valued quality since 1923. Their products are 100% highest quality extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and are high in polyphenols. Their vinegar has “the mother,” a friendly bacteria which forms during the fermentation process and contains nutrients that are also high in polyphenols.
Their olive oil is sourced globally, based on when the olives grow best seasonally, Phillips said. The olive oil currently available at Olive Jax Beach is from Chile. Olive oils from Italy, Portugal and California will be available seasonally.
Olive Jax Beach will provide opportunities for guests to sample various olive oils and vinegars while visiting their shop. Each bottle includes a QR code to a delicious new recipe to try out.
In addition to olive oil and vinegar, Olive Jax Beach will carry additional staple pantry items and two beauty lines made with olive oil and tallow skin care. Both are excellent for radiant, glowing skin.
Olive Jax Beach will open on Saturday, Oct. 24. Everything in the store will be 10% off on that Saturday only. Phillips is excited to share his passion for delicious, clean products and overall wellness with the community.
