OPE raises money to help feed the hungry with Slimeapalooza
Slimeapalooza was a success at Ocean Palms Elementary Spring Family Fun Night, raising almost $700 to benefit The Giving Orchard at OPE. Students had the opportunity to purchase “slime” to pour on the school principal, Tiffany Cantwell, the assistant principal, Zach Strom, and the school secretary, Kerry Fodor. The fifth-grade Ambassadors were trying to raise money to purchase two orange trees for The Giving Orchard, exceeding their goal of $225 by almost $500. The oranges from the Giving Orchard trees will be donated to the hungry in the community, and the remaining money will be donated to another cause voted on by the Ambassadors.
