Palatka Blue Crab Festival returns to riverfront

Palatka Blue Crab Festival took place during the Memorial Day weekend. The festival’s fun and inviting atmosphere brought people together.

The festival proudly hosted music from both local and regional bands and featured an exciting lineup on two stages. The community stage featured performances from local bands and artists, while the main stage hosted local and regional acts from across Northeast Florida.

The fan favorite ski show returned this year along with fireworks, curated food trucks and a vendor market with a variety of goods. Guests enjoyed tasty food while listening to live music.

A team of hand-selected food trucks served flavorful dishes and sweet treats. There was plenty of fresh seafood, including blue crab, of course, and delicious carnival favorites. The free, family-friendly festival was an excellent way to kick off the summer!

Blue Crab Festival originally began as a used boat sale that hosted a boat race to draw people to the downtown business district to support local merchants. Eventually, it evolved into the event it is today. The festival has been an annually hit over Memorial Day weekend for nearly 30 years. It remains a beloved tradition for people to gather and celebrate the start of summer.
