Local car enthusiasts are shifting gears to prepare for the 15th annual Ponte Vedra Auto Show, which will take place Sunday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nocatee Town Center.
Organized by the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Ponte Vedra Beach Division, this will be the second consecutive year that the event is held in the heart of the Nocatee community. An event that in past years has attracted thousands of attendees, this year’s auto show will feature close to 200 collectors’ cars, both classic and new. Entrants will compete for trophies in 30 different categories, including awards for the “Most Outstanding Mustang,” “Best Exotic” and “Best in Show Classic.”
“Each year we strive to bring different elements to the show,” said Sandy Kavanaugh, special projects manager at the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce. “Along with the intriguing and artful collection of cars on display, we will feature the ‘Tribute to the Vintage Motorcycle,’ where an exciting array of motorcycles will be featured."
In addition to enjoying the show and watching the Jaguars thanks to MDM Commercial, attendees will have numerous options for lunch. Like last year, food trucks will be onsite throughout the show, but with the recent additions of Tijuana Flats and Starbucks to the growing list of Nocatee restaurants, spectators will have an even greater variety of vendors to choose from.
Automobile registration for the 2017 Ponte Vedra Auto Show is $35 per vehicle, but the event is free and open to the public. Nocatee Town Center is located at 460 Town Plaza Ave. For more information, visit www.pvautoshow.com or call the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Ponte Vedra Beach Division at (904) 285-2004.
