Ponte Vedra Boy Scout troop welcomes new leaders

Ponte Vedra’s Boy Scout Troop 288 recently welcomed a new crop of young leaders Sept. 7.

In addition to Senior Patrol Leader John Schott, new patrol leaders include Jonah Paxton, Cameron Turner, Luke Paxton, Chap Aide David Hall and troop bugler Jacob Taylor. Jack Tucker and Stephen Turner were recognized as assistant senior patrol leaders, while Daniel Lichlyter, Jamie St. George, Rael Sidoroff, CJ Joyner and troop historian Landon McIntosh were recognized as assistant patrol leaders.

Other scouts newly appointed to leadership positions included AV Tech RJ Lawing, Historian Kelly Jones, Librarian Shreyas Chetan and Quartermaster Camden Usry.

Troop 288, based out of Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church, has been the home of 101 Eagle-ranked scouts since being chartered in 1989.
