Artists of all ages and media are welcome to participate in a Call to Artists, partnered by the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The art must display a likeness of the façade of the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall building.
Artwork must be professionally prepared and ready to display by the submission dates. Frames are not required. Artists can submit their work on Thursday, Aug. 22, and Friday, Aug. 23, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize with their art permanently hung at the Concert Hall. Winners will be selected by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Board and St. Johns County Cultural Events Division representatives.
The winner will be announced at an awards party from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and will exhibit all the art submissions at the contest celebration. The celebration will feature light hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar. Guests attending the party are welcome to vote for their favorite piece for a People’s Choice Award that will be announced the following week. The party is free to attend and open to the public.
