Ponte Vedra Library completes Library Programming Room project

The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library has completed its transformation of the former PGA TOUR Media Room into a new Library Programming Room.

“To have our very own dedicated room for Library Programming is just the most amazing thing and certainly a wonderful surprise I didn’t see coming in nearly 16 years of service with the St. Johns County Public Library System,” said Anne Crawford, assistant branch manager and youth services librarian at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, in an email. “It’s a model in other Library Systems, and I’m so glad it happened in ours!”

The new Library Programming Room is dedicated to storytime programming, crafting, teen gaming and more. The room is now home to the library’s gaming equipment, programming snacks and storytime programming materials.

The project was made possible by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and the county’s facilities maintenance department, which mounted the TVs and painted the room.
