Espero Pharmaceuticals founder and CEO Quang Pham was recently named a 2016 ELITE Entrepreneur by “PM360,” a magazine for marketing decision-makers in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries.

According to the magazine, the award recognizes the most influential people in the health care industry, with recipients representing “the industry’s most powerful minds.”

Pham was named a “PM360” ELITE in the Entrepreneur category for founding Espero Pharmaceuticals, and was recognized for developing a new company to answer unmet needs. He will be honored along with the other winners at the Standard Hotel in Manhattan July 12.

"Being recognized by the healthcare industry is an honor,” Pham said. “My mission for founding Espero Pharmaceuticals is to maximize the commercial value of proven treatments in order to improve the quality of life for patients. Currently, this applies to those suffering with angina due to coronary artery disease (CAD).”

Founded in 2015, Espero Pharmaceuticals currently has the U.S. marketing and distribution rights for Nitrolingual Pumpspray®, and GoNitro™, a nitroglycerin sublingual powder that received FDA approval June 8. Both drugs are used for acute relief of an attack or prophylaxis of angina pectoris due to CAD. GoNitro™ is the first product approved to treat acute angina in the United States in more than two decades. Through Jacksonville Pharmaceuticals, its wholly owned subsidiary, the company markets and distributes selected strategic generic pharmaceutical products.
