The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club held its new and prospective member event Aug. 22 at the home of Michelle Purdy to kick off the new year for the club.
The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) organization, which was started in 1970. The women in the club support five local charities throughout the year. Their moto is to “FUN-raise, SERVE socially, and ENGAGE locally.”
Current President Lori Marjerison spoke at the meeting and encouraged the new participants to join the club. The annual membership cost is $50. The PVWC meets each month at a local venue and highlights one of the charities it supports.
The next big FUNraiser will be Oct. 17 at Underwood’s, where there will be drinks, snacks and a chance to win an 18-karat gold Roberto Coin bracelet worth $3,950.
