Ponte Vedra-based business Power Tee hosted a demo day at the University of North Florida (UNF) Driving Range April 4 that drew about 100 people of all skill levels.
Event guests played golf on UNF’s Power Tee units, enjoyed pizza from Jumpin’ Jax House of Food and competed for a signed Jim Furyk Callaway golf bag.
To enter the contest, participants had to hit a Power Tee target from about 60 yards away, which earned them one raffle ticket, up to five tickets per person. One lucky winner, Michael Palomares, was selected to receive the golf bag.
Scott Schroeder, the UNF men’s golf coach and facilities manager, said the Power Tees are a great asset for their facility.
“It’s really great for kids and for helping beginners have the ability to set up and have it teed up in the same position every time they practice and play,” Schroeder said.
Power Tee is an internationally patented automatic practice system that makes practicing golf more efficient, effective and fun. The business is already making plans for their next demo day, and plans to make it even bigger and better.
