Pro golfer Phil Mickelson will be on site at THE PLAYERS Championship Kids Zone presented by Nemours Children’s Health System on Wednesday, March 11 to reunite with Rue, a childhood cancer survivor and family friend who is a Nemours ambassador. At the event, he will also sign autographs for children and teens who gather in the Kids Zone.

Before her third birthday, Rue, who lives in Jacksonville and is now 7, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In her honor, Mickelson, who is friends with Rue’s family, donated funds to brighten up the room where children with cancer go for treatments.

Nemours Children’s Health System is advancing its mission of promoting health for children and teens with the launch of the Kids Zone, an active experience that will be open throughout the tournament this year. The youth-focused space, with engaging activities and pop-up events, is designed to give young attendees an interactive experience.

For this event, autograph cards will be provided for children and teens only to get signed. Michelson will sign autographs from 9:30 to 10 a.m. during his appearance in The Kids Zone.
