Students at PVPV/Rawlings Elementary School had a chance to become budding inventors March 31, when third grade students in teacher Ileana Yarbrough’s class hosted an “Invention Convention” inncorporating STEM-related activities and honing their research skills, students developed and displayed a wide range of inventions. From a “Jazzy Jewelry Go Round” jewelry organizer and rashguard to repel sharks to lighted gloves for directing traffic at night, student inventions were as unique as the inventors themselves.
“They came up with some really ingenious inventions,” Yarbrough said. “I’m really proud of them.”
