Pyschedelic Furs return to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in September

British rock luminaries the Psychedelic Furs will return to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in September, performing with special guest Bash & Pop.

Scheduled to appear Sept. 23, the band is well-known for its hits “Love My Way,” “Pretty in Pink,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost in You” and “Heartbreak Beat.” Led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler, the Furs released seven studio albums, spawning several compilations, a boxed set and a live concert DVD.

Born out of the post-punk UK rock scene, the Furs quickly developed as one of the premier bands on U.S. college and modern rock radio scoring a multitude of #1 singles. With the advent of MTV in the early 1980s, the band took off when John Hughes approached the band with his film built around the Furs’ song “Pretty in Pink.” After a brief hiatus in the 1990s, and a side project called Love Spit Love, the band regrouped at the dawn of the new millennium. The Psychedelic Furs touring lineup consists of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Mars Williams (saxophone), Amanda Kramer (keyboards) and Paul Garisto (drums).

Special guests Bash & Pop will be fronted by Tommy Stinson of The Replacements.

Tickets for The Psychedelic Furs with Bash & Pop begin at $43 and are available now at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Offices,, all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (800) 745-3000.
