The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach is partnering with local nonprofit Beaches Go Green and several local businesses for a cleanup of Mickler's Landing Beach from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22.

In addition to the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach and Beaches Go Green, local restaurant Trasca & Co. Eatery will be providing pre-cleanup hot chocolate, coffee and snacks, as well as post-cleanup pasta. Other businesses supporting the event include Hana Financial Group, Gordon Family Chiropractic, Payroll Savvy, Berry & Co. Real Estate and Brightway Insurance.

Buckets and reusable gloves will be provided by Beaches Go Green. Prizes will be given for the strangest item found and most cigarette butts collected. Beaches Go Green provides awareness and education around the waste that is produced and how it affects the planet, particularly single-use items and plastic pollution in the oceans.
