RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of St. Johns County is looking for community members to assist once a week in the summer reading or algebra programs in the St. Johns County School District.

Hours are flexible, and even if volunteers are traveling this summer, they can help out while they are in town.

Orientation for reading volunteers is Thursday, June 6, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Fullerwood Auditorium, located at 10 Hildreth Drive in St. Augustine.  Orientation for algebra volunteers is Monday, June 24, from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Augustine High School, located at 3205 Varella Ave. in St. Augustine.

“There are students who can greatly benefit from the help of those willing to give just a small amount of their time,” RSVP Director Cheryl Freeman said.  “Assistance from community volunteers can make all the difference in helping these students succeed.”
