The third annual Smoothie King Crown Cup pickleball tournament raised more than $30,000 for the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation (MWYF) on Saturday, May 16, bringing together players, community supporters and youth advocates for a day of fun, friendly competition and philanthropy.

Supported by presenting sponsor Cox Media Group, the event raised critical funds and awareness for MWYF’s mission to empower youth through academic enrichment, mentorship and life skills development programs serving Jacksonville’s urban core.

The tournament took place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach and featured competitive pickleball matchups across multiple divisions, entertainment from DJ Hollywood and local food trucks for attendees to enjoy throughout the day.

Proceeds from the event will directly support MWYF programming designed to help students succeed academically, build confidence and develop the skills needed for long-term success.
