Spring was in the air April 29, when Stellers Gallery hosted the opening reception for “Hue,” an art exhibition celebrating bold and vivid colors.

The exhibition features the works of nationally recognized painters Michelle Armas, Shawn Meharg, Enrique Mora and Steve Williams. As part of the opening reception festivities, four pieces of artwork by each featured artist were raffled off as a fundraiser to benefit Jacksonville’s Art with a Heart in Healthcare. The nonprofit organization aims to aid the healing process of sick children through art, providing art therapy and artistic activities to patients at Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and Nemours Clinic.

“Art with a Heart is a cause that Stellers Gallery at Ponte Vedra feels very passionate about,” Owner Hillary Whitaker said. “Art is such a powerful tool, and we love that Art With A Heart uses art as a form of healing and helping to humanize and diminish the fear, pain, boredom and depression associated with hospitalization for children.”
