Students demonstrate roller coasters at OPES STEM Night
Building paths for marbles to race, climb and loop brought physics to life for third grade students at Ocean Palms Elementary School, where students demonstrated their roller coasters Feb. 2 during STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Night for parents and OPES Principal Tiffany Cantwell. Cones, boxes, pipe insulation and duct tape helped students learn about energy and the laws of motion. Displayed in the photo are OPES Principal Tiffany Cantwell and KC Riley.
