This year, Sweet Art Gallery will celebrate 20 years of its first gallery, located in Naples. The gallery’s second location here in Ponte Vedra Beach has been a favorite in the area since its opening three years ago and has won Best of the Best each year. Sweet Art Gallery specializes in large, colorful paintings to brighten up any space in your home.
Dede Sweet, the gallery owner, said that when it comes to decorating, “the art should be the focus of the room.”
Both gallery locations are unique for their cheerful, original contemporary and modern paintings created by career artists. The gallery also offers art consulting to help customers buy art for specialized spaces.
“Stop in and meet our art consultation experts, Klaron Grigsby and Suzanne Cash,” said Sweet.
Sweet Art Gallery features a variety of outstanding artists, including Brenda Belfield and Al Razza.
Belfield is an abstract painter and designer of architectural stained glass. One of her major commissions includes 60 windows at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
Razza explores Abstract Expressionism, color field, Minimalism and pop art in his work. In 1991, he received an award for artistic excellence from the South Florida Art Consortium and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is also the owner of Razza School of Art, and his work has been featured in galleries and museums.
Sweet said she likes nothing better than putting the perfect piece of art in a client’s home or venue. She seeks to bring joy to homes, people and places.
“Art can change a room,” she said.
She wants people to know how important it is to buy original artwork. She explained that art doesn’t have to be crazy expensive and that each piece is unique and tells a story.
