When this Mississippi girl decided to buy The Poppin Box in Julington Creek/Fruit Cove after being a customer for many years, Rebecca Turner and her husband Bill set their sights on making this captivating confection shop into a deliciously popular sweet destination in 2021.
It’s not just a popcorn, fudge and candy store where fans come in to satisfy a sweet tooth in the bustling Shops at Bartram Walk. The Poppin Box has evolved into a very popular party place for community events, Summer Story Time for kids and weekly parties, and now, in their third holiday season, children and families can meet Santa at their “Jingle Jamboree.”
From 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6, it’s going to be a wonderland of holiday activities starting with free cotton candy, face painting, karaoke music and an old-fashioned cake walk. At the same time, customers will enjoy shopping among 70 specialty popcorn flavors that are created from kernel to gift with Christmas names like “Grinch,” “Poppin Peppermint” and “Holly Mix”!
The Poppin Box creates specialty fudges, too, in a Candyland-style kitchen along with aromatic candied nuts and mile-high popcorn buckets!
