Ponte Vedra residents have a new local option for fresh, seafood following the grand opening of The Fisherman’s Dock.

Located at 330 A1A North Suite 301 in Ponte Vedra Beach, the seafood market held an open house and grand opening last week to introduce customers to its offerings. Owner Mike Eddy noted that the Ponte Vedra Beach market is the third Fisherman’s Dock location, building on the success of longstanding markets in Mandarin and Orange park.

“We had customers who would come from Ponte Vedra Beach all the way to Mandarin and they kept asking us, ‘When are you going to open a store in Ponte Vedra?’” Eddy said. “We have as good a selection as any place in Jacksonville.”

Unlike other markets that order seafood once a week, Eddy noted, receives daily shipments of fresh seafood. “We wholesale (seafood) to a couple hundred restaurants in Jacksonville, so we get fish in every day,” he said.

Among the most popular offerings, Eddy said, are salmon, grouper and mahi mahi. “People will find a good selection.”

The Fisherman’s Dock’s Ponte Vedra Beach market will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
