On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Starr Mackey of Small World Tours and Cruises, will be the guest speaker at the Coastal Friends luncheon at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Small World Tours and Cruises are specialists in the retired adult market.
The luncheon will take place at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu will consist of a house salad, chicken cordon bleu, potatoes au gratin, roasted broccoli and cauliflower florets and key lime pie for dessert. The cost to attend is $27, and the lunch is open to Coastal Friends members, guests and the community.
Reservations must be made in advance by contacting the luncheon chairman at bartshar@comcast.net. Checks must be received by Wednesday morning, Sept. 30 at the latest.
Coastal Friends is a women’s social club established in 1998. Formerly known as Newcomers Alumnae, it is comprised of women who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, St. Augustine, Jacksonville and the surrounding area. Members include women who have had a change in circumstances, are new to the area, recently retired or just want to meet new friends.
Activities include: adventures and outings, book club, bunco, canasta, happy hour, mahjongg, samba, lunch out, lunch in and wine socials. The club also highlights a specific charity each month.
