TV show to feature NE Florida homes

Real estate experts agree: Northeast Florida is a treasury of interesting homes and neighborhoods. And soon, many of the area’s best examples will be featured on a local TV series.

“Property Tours of Northeast Florida” will air on WJXX channel 25, an affiliate of ABC in Jacksonville. It is the brainchild of Brady and Alyssa Hammond of the Hammond Family Group, a top producing team in area real estate.

Each episode begins with a general overview of one area and then focuses on two communities within it. Finally, the show zeroes in on a property within the community. The Hammonds interview the homeowner and take viewers on a tour of the home.

The show does not pitch houses for sale or feature commercial properties beyond their value to the home being spotlighted. Rather, it’s more a celebration of local communities and the homes one might find there.

“The market here is so interesting, so fun, so cool, and I just think a lot of people are really going to enjoy that,” said Brady Hammond.

Each episode concludes with a segment on market trends.

Once each episode airs, it will be posted on, where it can be viewed at any time. In fact, the website already has a dedicated page for the show.

“Property Tours of Northeast Florida” will be of interest not only to those considering a move to the First Coast, but also current residents.

“A lot of people we meet say, ‘I grew up in Jacksonville, and I don’t even know where all the neighborhoods are,’” said Alyssa Hammond. “It’s easy to live in a place and not really know every area.”

“We have some amazing guests who have opened up their homes to us,” added her husband.

The Hammonds had been living in Kansas City when Brady’s parents, Tommy and Nancy Hammond, relocated to the First Coast in 2008. Longtime real estate professionals, they saw the value of the market here. Brady and Alyssa Hammond visited frequently and came to appreciate the sheer variety of the region’s diverse lifestyles. So, three years ago, they made the move and joined the elder Hammonds in their business.

Brady Hammond, who had been a guest on a different TV show produced by San Marco-based Buzz Media Group, thought a program about different areas of Northeast Florida might make a good show. He pitched it first to his wife and, seeing that she was agreeable to it, pitched it then to the Buzz team.

“They’ve been fun to work with,” said Brady. “Their enthusiasm from the very beginning has been nice.”
