On Oct. 22, community members donned their Thursday-bests to join celebrity jewelry designer Erica Courtney as she returned to Underwood Jewelers Ponte Vedra Beach for a kickoff trunk show cocktail party.
Courtney’s colorful, vivid collection titled “Drop Dead Gorgeous” was on display for guests to purchase, or simply admire. The collection focuses on pieces that make a statement, from earrings featuring bright orange Mandarin garnets and diamonds set in 18k yellow gold to rings with pink sapphires and diamonds set in 18k yellow gold, and everything in between.
Courtney has been a regular at Underwood’s for several years now, happy to attend trunk shows and speak with customers face to face. Often called “Indiana Jones in six-inch heels,” Courtney’s jewelry designs are inspired by feminine beauty and charm.
Attendees of the cocktail party munched on light bites and beverages as they perused Courtney’s latest pieces and spoke with the designer herself.
One longtime customer, Natalie Perry, said that she’d been purchasing Courtney’s pieces for nearly a decade and couldn’t resist coming back for more. Mother-daughter duo Shanel and Leah Pontigo were adorned in several of Courtney’s elegant jewelry pieces such as earrings and necklaces.
Courtney’s trunk show in Ponte Vedra Beach lasted through Saturday, Oct. 24, but her whimsical, intricate pieces are available at Underwood Jewelers year-round.
