Get ready to travel back in time because As If! The 90’s Fest is back for its third consecutive year!
All things rad will take over Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive in downtown St. Augustine, from 1 to 9:30 p.m. May 20.
The Headliner for the event is Grammy-nominated performer Vanilla Ice, who exploded on the rap/pop music scene in the 1990s with hits like “Ice Ice Baby, “Play That Funky Music” and “Baby Got Back.” Another main act will be American alternative rock band, Spin Doctors, best known for their early 1990s hits "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.”
“I can’t believe it’s our third 90’s Fest!” said Jeanetta Cebollero, owner of Ancient City Entertainment and the organizer of the festival. “I’m so grateful for the chance to continue putting on this event year-after-year and provide the City of St. Augustine with a day to relive the best parts of growing up in the 1990s. Besides, who doesn’t want the chance to sing along to ‘Ice Ice Baby’ live? Each year gets better and better and I can’t wait to see how this festival continues to grow.”
The third annual As If! The 90’s Fest features a full-day concert lineup with national acts, local and regional musicians, vendors, food trucks, a water slide, “fly” photo booth and more. Proceeds benefit ACE Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit designated to assist locals who dedicate their craft and livelihood to the culture of tourism, entertainment and hospitality throughout Northeast Florida.
Attendees will also have the chance to attend exclusive events, including the As If! 90’s Fest afterparty, as well as celebrity meet and greets.
The event is sponsored by Ancient City Entertainment, MasterCraft Builder Group, The Newcomer Group, Volkswagen of St. Augustine and Barwick Banking Company.
“Anyone that knows me knows how passionate I am about the music and entertainment industry,” Cebollero said. “That’s why this festival is so special, providing the chance to celebrate all things ’90s while also supporting local musicians and creatives in our community. Past years’ events have raised tens of thousands of dollars for ACE Alliance, and I hope we raise even more this year with our incredible headliners. I can’t wait to see everyone at the raddest event of the year!”
This family-friendly one-day event will feature live music, games, water slide, vendors, food trucks and more.
