Vivian Faith Bolling (Holbert, Huff, James)

Vivian Faith Bolling (Holbert, Huff, James), 97, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, went home to God on May 1, 2022, at her home. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Flushing, OH, the daughter of the late William A. Holbert and India M. Holbert. She moved to Parkersburg, WV as an infant, grew up there and married Gerald Huff in 1943, and raised her family. Gerald died in 1969. She married Jack James in 1972 and moved to Ponte Vedra, FL in 1977. He died in 2001. In 2008, she married Jack Bolling and they enjoyed being active, especially traveling. He died in 2018.

She worked in a wide variety of positions including the Parkersburg Viscose Plant, Dills Dept Store, Avon sales, Borg Warner Woodmar Plant, and Mary Kay sales. She was a member of the choir at Parkersburg Trinity United Methodist Church (Sunday school teacher and youth leader), Jacksonville Beach United Methodist Church (organized a “Seniors by the Sea” group), and Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church (designed and managed construction of the Memory Garden).

She was a very talented oil painting artist. She was a faithful servant of God and a loving caregiver to many that surrounded her.

She is survived by her children Richard Huff of California, MD, Kay Richardson and Debbie Travers of Ponte Vedra Beach. FL, 4 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Vivian was preceded in death by: her parents; her three loving husbands Gerald Huff, Jack James, and Jack Bolling; her siblings; Joy Love Holbert, Adnel Petty (Claude, Florabell Long (Murron), William S. Holbert (Ruth), Ronald Holbert (Gladys), and Lanny Holbert (Patricia).

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Ponte Vedra United Methodist church on May 7 at 11 a.m. followed by an interment ceremony in the Memory Garden of the church. A reception will follow in the church.
