Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville promotes Thabata Batchelor to VP of operations

Thabata Batchelor, FACHE, has been promoted to vice president of Operations for Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health Pulmonary Services.

Batchelor has been with Baptist Health for seven years and previously held the position of assistant administrator of Operations for Wolfson Children’s and Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

In this position, Batchelor will assume a greater role in the day-to-day administrative operations of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. She will continue to oversee and develop clinical operations of numerous areas within Wolfson Children’s, including:

■ C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Heart Institute

■ Walter and Michelle Stys Neuroscience Institute

■ Diabetes and Endocrinology Institute

■ Bower Lyman Center for the Medically Complex Child

■ Snyder Family Cleft and Craniofacial Center

■ Duran Genetics Center

■ Regional and international outreach

■ Satellite centers and hospital affiliations

Additionally, Batchelor will serve as the senior management team member responsible for Baptist Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Auxiliaries/Volunteer Services. On a systemwide basis, she will be responsible for overseeing and developing neurodiagnostics and pulmonary services at all Baptist Health locations.

A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Batchelor serves in leadership of the North Florida Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She recently received the ACHE Regent’s Award for Distinguished Service to the North Florida Chapter. She also serves as vice president of the Board of Directors of Episcopal Children’s Services of Florida and was named one of Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2019.

Batchelor graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor of arts degree in English and a minor in criminology in 2006 and her master’s degree in public health in 2010.
