Women Business Owners to host ‘Unstoppable’ event

“Unstoppable: Say ‘Yes’ to the Opportunity!” will be the focus of the Women Business Owners of North Florida’s 2017 signature event.

To be held Thursday, March 16 at the University of North Florida’s Herbert Center, the seminar will begin at 1 p.m. with networking and a dessert reception. The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will include keynote presentations by Audrey Moran and Michele McManamon as well as four PechaKucha-style brief presentations from four additional women.

Moran is the senior vice president for social responsibility and community advocacy at Baptist Health in Jacksonville. Her broad and varied career includes serving as a top prosecutor at the State’s Attorney’s office to Chief of Staff for former Mayor John Delaney to the CEO of the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless.

McManamon is the co-owner and operator of Sandler Training in Jacksonville. In 2014, she co-founded Operation New Uniform, a nonprofit committed to helping veterans develop the skills necessary to build upon their military experience and transition to the business world. In 2002, she was awarded the Woman Business Ownerr of the Year Award. She has also been named to the Top 50 Business of Influence, Top 25 Influential Women in Jacksonville and the Small Business Leader of the Year for 2013 – South Council. In 2016, McManamon served as chairman of THE PLAYERS Championship.

The WBO program will conclude with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. featuring complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. Early-bird registration through Feb. 20 is $50.07 for WBO members, $65.07 non-members and $35.07 for young professionals age 30 and under.
